Please follow these procedures:

1. Identification and entrance at the events
The management and control of the participants in each event are made through an RFID tag badge with the name, organization and country of participant. Each participant will only have access to the events/activities he/she is registered.

2. Identification card and documentation of the Congress
The Identification personal badge will be delivered to each participant at the Check in moment. Check in must be done at the Sheraton Hotel. The desks will be open on the following days and times:
  • May 13th - 5.30 pm - 8.00 pm
  • May 14th - - 7.30 am - 9.00 am / 5.30 pm - 8.00 pm
  • May 15th - 7.30 am - 8.30 am / 5.30 pm - 8.00 pm
  • May 16th - 7.30 am - 8.30 am / 5.30 pm - 9.00 pm
  • May 17th - 8.00 am - 9.00 am

  • 3. Transfers for visits to the factories
    Visits to the factories are carried out by buses departing from the Sheraton Hotel at 8:30 a.m. each day. Participants staying elsewhere should go by their own ways to this hotel prior to their departure time. Each bus has an identification number and the name of a sponsor. Buses leave as soon as they are full. Each participant must ensure they use the same bus in each day of visits to factories (4 factories a day).
    Schedule for departure by bus:
    MAY 14th - 08.30 am (Lunch at 13:00h in Felgueiras - Quinta dos Gansos) / Arrival at the hotel planned for 06.00 pm).
    MAY 15th - 08.30 am (Lunch at 13:00h in São João da Madeira - Quinta dos Teixeiras / Arrival at the hotel planned for 06.00 pm).
    MAY 16th - 08.30 am (Lunch at 13:00h in Guimarães - Paço dos Duques / Arrival at the hotel planned for 06.00 pm).

    Only participants that go by bus can make the visits (Is not possible go by car).
    Each participant will receive information by email or at the check in, about the BUS number that should go.
    Please note that dinner arrangements for the 14th and the 15th are of the responsibility of the participants.


    4. Transfer to the Gala Dinner (Palácio da Bolsa)
    The transfer to the Palácio da Bolsa is done by buses departing from the Sheraton Hotel from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 17th of May. Buses leave as soon as they are complete. Each participant can choose any bus. At the end of the dinner the buses leave for the Sheraton Hotel as soon as they are full, and after 11:15 p. m..
    Dress Code for Gala Dinner: Cocktail (Black suit).

    5. Meeting points
    The meeting point for the visits to the factories is the Sheraton Hotel. Each participant must be in the entrance of the hotel between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and take a bus (every bus is identified by a number and sponsor name). The buses depart at 8:30 a.m. sharp to ensure a smooth progress of activities throughout the day.
    6. Transfer from/to airport
    There is no transfer airport-hotel-airport. The airport is about 12km from city centre. Congresses can take a taxi (about 15 euros).
    7. Dietary restrictions
    Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, so we can provide you with meals of your choice. Please send us the relevant information to the email address: luisa.correia@ctcp.pt or info@porto2018.uitic.org.

    Badges
    You will be able to collect your badge (upon presentation of ID with photo) at the Chekin desk at Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa.

    Opening schedule as follows:

    MAY 14th: 07.30 am - 08.30 am / 05.30 pm - 08.00 pm
    MAY 15th: 07.30 am - 08.30 am / 05.30 pm - 08.00 pm
    MAY 16th: 07.30 am - 09.00 am / 5.30 pm - 09.00 pm
    MAY 17th: 08.00 am - 08.30 am

    Please ensure you wear your badge at all times during the conference and factory visits for easy identification and as a courtesy to other participants.

    To ensure the safety and quality of the event, we will monitor the participants' attendance at the conference and complementary events. It also allows the easy identification of all the participants promoting the interaction.

    Seating at the conference:You will be very welcome to sit wherever you would like in the Conference Room at Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa, with the exception of the first rows which will be reserved for speakers.
    Dietary restrictions

    Dress Code
    Dress Code for most activities: Relaxed (When selecting footwear, please be aware some streets in Porto are narrow, uneven and cobbled).

    Questions during the conference
    If you have questions during the conferences, wait for the end of the congressman's intervention. After the end of the session is given the possibility to put questions and discuss about the topic. There will be people from the organization in the conference room who are responsible for allocating the microphone.

    Filming and Photograph
    The event will be recorded and photographed. The images collected can be used to promote the event nationally and internationally.
    Language
    During the factory visits the official language will be English. At the congress, we will have a simultaneous translation technology from Portuguese to English and the other way around.
    Mobile Phone
    In order to enjoy and take advantage of congressional information, keep the phone quiet and do not answer calls within the conference room.
    Smoking
    No smoking or vaporizing is allowed inside the Sheraton Hotel. In the factory visits this permission is maintained inside buses and companies.
